Review: Etude House CC (Correct&Care) Cream #01 Silky

I'm back!

I hope you're not bored with my Etude House review, cause my dressing table.. (counting) are dominated with Etude House products. Hmm, let's say about 95% of them are Etude House's, the remaining 5% are from PAC, Mustika Ratu, Maybelline, Tony Moly, Skinfood, It's Skin, Masami Shouko, Dolly Wink, The Face Shop, Innisfree, hmm what else am i missing...? Anywho, the remaining 5%, i only owned them 1 - 2 products, unlike Etude House. Hehe.

This time i'm going to review a newly released product called CC Cream. There's been a lot of reviews of CC Cream lately, not only Etude House's CC Cream, but other famous brand as well, like Tony Moly. Etude House's CC Cream released early April, but it's not available yet in my country. So, like always, i bought them online. Plus buying online only took me half of the price in stores. I can't imagine the price of Etude House CC Cream once it's released in stores. Store price : 2 = online price. So, i bought my CC Cream around IDR 175000 or USD $18, imo Etude House CC Cream once they're released in store should be around IDR 450000 or USD $46. If you notice, CC Cream you bought online is more expensive than their BB Cream.

The price above is based on my opinion, idk the exact price because they're not released yet in my country.

Anyway, back to the review!

Product Name
Etude House CC (Correct&Care) Cream #01 Silky
35g (1,23 oz)

#01 Silky

Description
This multitasking, 8 in 1 formula hydrates, primes, conceals, treats, and protects skin at an easy single step for healthier complexion, inside and outside. It glides on with a silky smooth finish.

1st Layer: Keep Moist Layer
This CC Cream hydrates your skin
2nd Layer: Mineral Color Layer
Brighten your skin
3rd Layer: Magic Fitting Layer
The white color and gray-ish mini particles change its color to your skin color
4th Layer: Shiny Skin Layer
Gives you matte, healthy skin, natural results

At least that's what i think lolol. xD

CC Cream has many variants, depends on the brand and your needs. Like Correct&Care (Etude House), Complete Control (Nature Republic), Color Change (Nature Republic), Complete Care (HERA), Correct Combo (Mizon), Color Control (The Face Shop), and many more.

You can call CC Cream as BB Cream little sister. Because CC Cream is actually based from BB Cream, but more perfect. When BB Cream function are brightening (because it contain pearl extract), protects from sun with SPF 30 / PA ++ and gives medium to heavy coverage, CC Cream took care of your skin with it's 8 in 1 function + protection from the UV rays, but gives you sheer coverage.

8 in 1 function
~ Anti-Aging
~ Stress Relief
~ Hydration
~ Whitening
~ Sun Protection
~ Tone Up
~ Smooth Texture
~ Luminosity

Packaging
The box color and the tube color is the same as the cream color: white. It comes in a white plastic pump tube packaging, just like the big sister, but with a different color. They say, the less the better. And Etude House did it! One color can make the entire product look elegant! Mostly Etude House's products are dominated with girly pink or soft pink color, this time it comes in white which i think is more elegant and classy! Not only Hangul, but Etude House also included English translation on the box which is helpful. ^^

Ingredients
Blurred pic, sorry. >.<

Roughly blended.

Left: without CC Cream
Right: with CC Cream (fully blended)

Texture
Extremly light! Lighter than BB Cream! But not as light as water lol. This CC Cream only comes in one shade, which is white, but if you take a closer look you'll see gray-ish mini particles. It's very obvious with naked eye, but sadly it's not obvious enough on camera. That gray-ish mini particles disappear once fully blended.

Directions
Apply liberally and blend evenly with your fingertips for natural, sheer coverage. Use it alone or layered under your favorite foundation for more coverage.

Caution
1. Use only as directed
2. Avoid storing in high and low temperatures and areas exposed to direct sunlight
3. Cease use if problems arise

Likes
- SPF 30 / PA ++
- 8 in 1
- comes in one shade that blends with skin
- comes in a pump tube
- elegant packaging
- multifunction (skincare & base make up)
- gives matte & fluffy finish
- feels light on skin
- good oil control
- great staying power (9 hours for me)
- comes in 2 types: silky (matte finish), & glow (glowy finish)
- suits for all skin types

Dislikes
- sheer coverage

Why did i say it stays on me for 9 hours? One day i went to the hospital for medical check up around 11am (fyi around 11am - 1pm is the time when the sun feels like it's behind you lol) and then when i went home (around 1.30pm) i took a nap (in my boyfriend awms while he's' playing FIFA 2011 lolol it's true) :3 Woke up around 4.30pm, played Sengoku Basara with him until 6pm, had dinner, watch tv after that, remove the CC Cream on my face around 9pm, and it's there. I mean the CC Cream. The white color change into your skin tone because of that gray-ish mini particles. And i only wore CC Cream, lip balm, and lip tint. Too lazy to put on the rest (bb cream, etc) because i only skin protection from the sun. And since i only went to the hospital, why would i apply eyeliner and such? -_-

Overall i really like this CC Cream. If i want a smooth yet matte result, i use this CC Cream alone. And if i want more coverage, i use this CC Cream as a base make up, then apply BB Cream, a thin layered one of course. BB Cream is heavy enough (not as heavy as foundation though) so a thin one should be enough if i need more coverage. I decided to get #01 Silky 'cause i love matte, smooth, fluffy, bouncy (?) results.

If you know a CC Cream that has multifunction (skin care + has SPF) just like Etude's but gives medium coverage, tell me!

Have you tried this CC Cream from Etude House or other brand? Share them with me, i would love to read it fo sho.

Until next time!

I think this functions wonderfully as a primer, since it has no coverage. Nice review! ^^

Hi, i'm considering to use this CC cream and looking for some review. and i saw your review. it's nice :)
may i ask, because it's only come in white, do u think it will look weird in brown skin?
well, because like bb cream come in light or dark brown, and only dark brown usually fit for me.
thanks for info, btw! :D

Yeah i do! lolol. <3

It wont, thanks to the gray-ish mini particle (that's so hard fOr me to capture on camera) that blends with tour skintone after few minutes. Plus if you're trying to remove this CC Cream with cleansing oil, the color that shows up on the tissue's not white, but the color of your skin tone. Hope this helps. :)

I've heard many things about the CC Cream by Etude House too. Did it make your face break out or dry? My friend tried it and it came out really cakey, she said, I'm not familiar with CC creams. :))
I also did a Etude House post on my Blog, but I'm new.. maybe you can give me some advise hehe.

It worked great on me, it didn't break out or make my face dry. I'm a new (yet lazy) blogger too, and the best advice i could give you is just be honest with whatever you're reviewing. And if you have spare time maybe you could update your blog even if it is a quick post. XD
